US Payments Forum Elects 2019 Steering Committee

Forum leadership brings together stakeholder voices from across the payments industry

PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J., February 26, 2019 – The U.S. Payments Forum and its leadership are instrumental in its mission to support the introduction and implementation of payments technologies that help protect the security of, and enhance opportunities for, payment transactions within the U.S. To continue its success into the new year, the U.S. Payments Forum announced today its 2019 Steering Committee and officers.

The Steering Committee members elected as officers in 2019-2020 are:

The Steering Committee manages the Forum and guides the priorities and plans of the organization and its working committees – ATM; Card-Not-Present Fraud; Communication and Education; Mobile and Contactless Payments; Petroleum; Testing and Certification; and Transit Contactless Open Payments. Some of the key working committee activities that the Steering Committee oversees include identifying and providing guidance on issues, developing best practices for implementation of payments technologies, providing market education, and creating deliverables such as white papers and webinars for industry stakeholders.

“The U.S. Payments Forum is a body dependent on cooperation and coordination between all segments of the industry – our active members and committees are the drivers of that participation,” said Randy Vanderhoof, director of the U.S. Payments Forum. “The strong cross-industry leadership we’ve seen in past years – and in this upcoming year – is integral to the success the Forum achieves in supporting implementation of new and emerging payments technologies in the U.S.”

About the U.S. Payments Forum

The Forum is an affiliated organization of the Secure Technology Alliance, founded in August 2012 as the EMV Migration Forum, and renamed in the U.S. Payments Forum in 2016 to include other new and emerging payments technologies in the United States.
